Dr. George Ellwanger lives in Cary, North Carolina with his wife, Donna and the three youngest of their seven children. He is currently the owner and clinical director of Atlas Chiropractic of Cary, PLLC.
Dr. Ellwanger received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in music education and trombone performance. After performing with various Air Force bands, world-wide, for everyone from European royalty to people in third-world countries, he decided on a new career path that would allow him to have a positive influence on the lives of many more people on a one-to-one basis. So he chose to enter the chiropractic profession since it resonated so well with these objectives and his conept in health care that most often, less is more. After his acceptance into the Palmer College of Chiropractic, “the Harvard of Chiropractic Colleges” in Davenport, Iowa, he entered his chiropractic training. While at Palmer he discovered many new things, not the least of which was the woman who was to become his future wife, Donna, also a chiropractor, and her five awesome children.
Drs. George and Donna earned their DC (doctor of chiropractic) degrees in 1993 and entered into an internship with the world-renowned inventor, Dr. Roy W. Sweat, the founder of the Atlas Orthogonal technique in Atlanta, GA. In September of 1994 they opened their own Atlas Orthogonal chiropractic office together in Williamsburg, VA. There, they served many people with the high quality care that they were taught by Dr. Sweat.
Now he is happy to be back in his native North Carolina where he is serving many people. Dr. Donna has been happy for the past several years to be a stay-at-home mom. She and some of the children still help out in the office from time to time.
Dr. Ellwanger is happy to provide public speaking services to groups around the Raleigh Durham area with presentations on many health topics relative to chiropractic care and wellness.
