“Dr. Ellwanger has helped me and my family tremendously. I have gone to Chiropractors for years and totally believe in what they do; however, with the types of Chiropractors I had gone to it was normally a 200 pound man basically jumping on my back to get it to adjust properly and then snapping my neck to adjust it. It worked and I am still alive, but it was painful and I got to the point where I dreaded going. I was skeptical going to Dr. Ellwanger because I thought it would be the same thing. As a matter of fact the first time he adjusted me using the Atlas Orthogonal method I asked “is that it?!” The results were phenomenal so I told everyone about it. When I told my Mother-in-law she was skeptical as well because of being injured through traditional chiropractors and was experiencing constant numbness down her leg for over a year and a half. When she went to see Dr. Ellwanger she was amazed to say the least. After only 2 trips to him she noticed tremendous results and now realizes that she doesn’t have to live in pain and numbness for the rest of her life. I continue to recommend Dr. Ellwanger to everyone that I can.”
Wellness care by doctors of chiropractic may reduce health care costs, improve health behaviors, and enhance patients’ perceived quality of life. In 2005, both Medical News Today (March 7) and The Journal for Vertebral Subluxation Research (Feb. 18) reported major advances in how chiropractic helps to relieve stress in those who are under chiropractic care.
Until recently, it was just anecdotal that chiropractic care could affect the body on more than a pain relieving level. What many researchers overlooked is the fact that chiropractic adjustments affect the chemistry of biological processes on a cellular level. Researchers have found that chiropractic care can affect the basic physiological processes that influence oxidative stress and DNA repair.
By comparing serum thiol (primary antioxidant; measure of human health status) levels in about 50 patients receiving short- or long-term chiropractic care, with 30 patients who were treated with non-chiropractic methods, researchers found that: * Independent of age, sex or taking nutritional supplements, long-term chiropractic care of two or more years re-established a normal physiological state in patients. * Patients who received chiropractic care showed higher mean serum thiol levels, compared to patients with active disease, and produced some values that were higher than normal wellness values.
Moreover, chiropractors apply spinal adjustments to correct disturbances of nerve function; thus, chiropractic care appears to improve a patient’s ability to adapt to stress.
Minor pressure applied to nerves reduces performance of their function by a great amount. Chiropractors are in the business of restoring normal nerve function and enhancing the life potential in all people. Thus, those who enjoy chiropractic care are able to live life to their fullest potential.
Abundant Blessings to all.
